  • 250 g - Maida
  • 4 - Eggs
  • 250 g - Butter
  • 250 g - Powdered sugar
  • 1 cup - Milk
  • 1 tsp - Vanilla essence
  • 2 tsp - Baking powder
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Tea Cake

  • Sift the maida with the baking powder and add salt to it.
  • Beat the eggs one by one till light and frothy.
  • Now, cream the butter with the sugar powder and add the eggs. Mix it well.
  • Then, fold in the maida alternatively with the milk. Dribble in the essence.
  • Mix it and pour it into the baking dish.
  • Pre-heat the oven.
  • Bake the cake at 180 to 200 degrees. It may take around half an hour.
  • Switch off when the top browns.
  • The cake is ready to eat.
