Ingredients

  • 2 cups - rice (raw)
  • 2 cups - curd
  • 3 to 4 green chillies
  • 1 piece ginger
  • 1 tbsp - ghee
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp - urad dal
  • 1 tsp - channa dal
  • 8 to 10 curry leaves
  • some finely chopped coriander leaves
  • salt to taste

How to Make Tempered Curd Rice

  • Cook the rice with salt to taste and keep aside.
  • Add finely chopped greed chillies, ginger, and salt to the curd.
  • Add the curd to the rice and mix gently.
  • Heat ghee in a ladle, add mustard seeds, and when the seeds splutter, add urad dal, channa dal, and curry leaves.
  • Fry on a low flame till the dals turn a little golden.
  • Pour this tempering on the rice and gently mix.
  • Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.
