Ingredients

  • Onion - 1 small one chopped into cubes
  • Oil - 2 tbsps
  • Prawns - 200 g
  • Lime leaves - 4
  • Lemon grass - 3 sticks
  • Chicken stock or fish stock- 2 cups
  • Tomatoes - 1 small cut into cubes
  • Lemon juice- 5 tbsps
  • Soya sauce - 2 tbsps
  • Fish sauce - 2 tbsps
  • Chilli paste - 2 tsps
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing
  • Mushrooms -5 cut lengthwise
  • Sugar- 1 tbsp

How to Make Thai Soup

  • Heat oil in a pan and add onions. Saute till transparent.
  • Add the chicken stock.
  • When it starts to boil. Add lemon grass, ginger and prawns.
  • Make a paste of fish sauce, soya sauce and chilli paste. Add it to the chicken stock.
  • Cook for 5 mins and add the mushrooms, lime juice and sugar one after the other.
  • When prawns are done, add tomatoes and garnish with finely minced coriander.
