  • 1 cup - fresh Curd
  • 1 - big Capsicum
  • 2 - Green chillies
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp - pepper powder
  • Mustard Seeds
  • 1 tsp - oil
  • salt
  • How to Make Thayir Pachadi:

    1. Cut capsicum into small pieces and fry it in a kadai with 1 tbsp oil. Do not overcook. Beat the curd with a spoon to mix well and smoothen it.
    2. Add salt, cumin powder, pepper powder and the fried vegetables.
    3. Heat up the kadai, allow mustard to splutter.
    4. Add 2 nos of green chillies sliced vertically, a pinch of asafoetida. Do not cut chillies into pieces.
    5. Just slit them.
    6. Season it to the pachadi/salad/raitha. Mix well.
    7. It tastes yummy with all mixed rice/roti, when had as a single helping during a dieting regime. | |
