Ingredients

  • Coconut - 1/2
  • Tomatoes - 3
  • Curry leaves - 10
  • Coriander as desired
  • Red Chillies - 2
  • Cumin seed - 1/4 tsp
  • Mustard Seed - 1/4 tsp
  • Turmeric - a pinch
  • Salt - to taste
  • Red Chilli powder - a pinch
  • Cumin powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Fenugreek powder - a pinch
  • Rasam powder - 1 tsp
  • How to Make Thenga paal rasam:

    1. Extract milk from coconut with a glass of water and keep aside.
    2. In a pan, add chopped tomatoes, coconut milk, coriander, all the powders (or rasam powder), turmeric, salt and chilli powder, and boil over medium flame for 10 mins
    3. In a separate pan, heat oil, splutter mustard, cumin seeds and curry leaves, and then add to rasam.
