Ingredients

  • Thotakura (1 whole bunch)
  • 1 - whole medium sized onion
  • 2 - medium sized green chillies
  • 1 tsp - chana dal
  • 1 tsp - urid dal
  • 1/2 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 1 or 2 - red chillies
  • 2 to 3 tsp - cooking oil
  • salt to taste
  • turmeric

How to Make Thotakura Kura

  • Chop thotakura with the stems.
  • Wash and cook in the cooker along with little salt and turmeric.
  • Chop onions and keep aside.
  • Pour oil in the frying pan and add all the seasoning items along with green chillies.
  • Make sure the seasoning is optimally fried.
  • Add onions and fry them till they turn golden brown.
  • Now add totakura by draining the extra water using a colander.
  • Add a little more salt if required.
  • Keep it on the stove till the bhaji is almost dry.
  • Serve with hot rice.
