Ingredients

  • Tofu - 200 gm, cut into very small cubes (1/4 cm)
  • grated Coconut - 4 tbsp, ground to smooth paste
  • Fenugreek leaves (methi bhaji) - 3 cup, chopped
  • oil - 4 tbsp
  • cloves, Cardamom 2 each
  • Cinnamon 2 cm piece
  • Onion - 1 cup, minced
  • Ginger - 2 tsp, minced
  • green chilies - 1 tsp, minced
  • chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • curds - 1/4 cup
  • Lime juice
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Tofu with Fenugreek Leaves:

    1. Heat oil in a kadai, add cloves, cinnamon and cardamom.
    2. After 1 minute, add onion, ginger, green chilies and fry trill onions are brown.
    3. Add all the powders and fenugreek leaves.
    4. Fry very well, adding a tbsp of curds in between.
    5. Add coconut paste and fry for a few minutes.
    6. Add tofu and salt. Keep covered on a low flame for 5 minutes.
    7. Serve hot with rotis or chapattis.
