Ingredients

  • 4 cups - Basmati Rice
  • 20 - Green chillies
  • 1/2 a bunch - Coriander
  • 2 - Chopped Onions
  • 5 - Garlic pods
  • 1 inch - Chopped Ginger
  • 4 - Tomatoes (medium size )
  • 15 - Cashews
  • 1 inch - Stick Cinnamon
  • 5 Cloves
  • 1/2 tsp - Cardamom
  • 3 tbsps - Ghee
  • Salt
  • 1 - Lemon
  • How to Make Tomato bath:

    1. In a pan, roast green chillies, 5 cashews, coriander leaves, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, ginger and garlic for 2 mins.
    2. Grind all the roasted ingredients and keep aside.
    3. In the pressure cooker, put 3 tbsps of ghee, fry onions and rest of the cashews.
    4. Add washed basmati rice and roast for a couple of minutes.
    5. Add the ground mixture and fry for a minute.
    6. Then add 2 finely chopped tomatoes and 2 pureed tomatoes.
    7. Add 6 cups of water, salt and squeeze one lemon.
    8. Cook till the first whistle.
    9. Allow the cooker to cool down.
    10. Tomato bath is ready to be served.
