  • 4 tbsp - Rice
  • Sugar - 15 tbsps
  • 3-4 cups - Milk
  • A few: cashew, Raisins
  • How to Make Traditional Paal Payasam:

    1. Grind rice and fry it in a tsp of ghee till it is hot.
    2. Similarly, fry the cashew and raisins in the ghee. Keep aside.
    3. Take the milk, add the powdered rice and steam in a cooker. Wait for 4 or 5 whistles and keep it on low heat for 30 mins.
    4. The longer you keep, the milk colour will change into a light orange, which is good.
    5. Add sugar and wait till it dissolves completely. Let it boil for some more time. Finally, add the cashews and raisins.
