Ingredients

  • For the filling:
  • 1/2 cup - Channa dal (soaked for 2 hrs and coarsely ground)
  • 500 g - Paneer
  • 5 - Red Chillies
  • 2 tsp - chat masala
  • 1 piece - Ginger
  • 6 - Green chillies
  • For the tikki:
  • 4 - Potatoes (medium sized and boiled)
  • 1/4 tsp - Corn flour
  • How to Make Traditional Paneer Tikki:

    1. Heat oil in a pan.
    2. Add ginger, green chillies and fry for minute.
    3. Now add channa dal, salt, red chilli and chat masala.
    4. Fry till dal is done well.
    5. Add the paneer and mix well.
    6. Now take 1.5 tbsp of potatoes in the palm and flatten it.
    7. Stuff with 1/2 tsp of filling into it.
    8. Make it into the shape of tikkis and toss it on corn flour.
    9. Shallow fry it till crisp and brown.
    10. Serve with green chutney and khajur-imli chutney.
