How to Make Traditional Undhiyu

  • For dumpling, mix fenugreek leaves, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, gram flour, wheat flour, hot oil and salt.
  • Make small balls and deep fry fenugreek dumpling.
  • In a pan, heat oil, add whole jeera.
  • When it crackles, add chopped onion, saute till golden brown.
  • Add ginger-garlic, red chilli and green chilli paste, saute for 2 minutes.
  • Add coconut and coriander paste, cook for 2.5-3 minutes.
  • Add vegetables and toss with coriander, cumin and garam masala powders.
  • Add water, salt, sugar and cook for 2 minutes, correct seasoning.
  • Top with fried fenugreek dumplings and chopped coriander.
