  • 2 cup - Cabbage shredded fine
  • 2 Carrot cut in thin juliennes
  • 1/2 tsp - minced Garlic
  • 1/2 tsp - minced Ginger
  • 1 tbsp - Butter
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp - pepper powder
  • 6 slices sandwich bread, buttered
  • How to Make Tricolour Sandwiches:

    1. Heat 1/2 butter in a skillet.
    2. Add cabbage and stir fry till tender.
    3. Add salt, 1/4 tsp pepper, 1/4 tsp each of garlic and ginger. Stir and remove.
    4. Heat remaining butter in a skillet.
    5. Add carrot and stir fry till tender.
    6. Let cabbage and carrot cool.
    7. Place a spoonful of the cabbage on a slice of bread.
    8. Place the other slice on top of it.
    9. Place carrot on the slice of bread.
    10. Place the third slice on top of it.
    11. Grill in a pre-heated oven (sandwich toaster may also be used).
    12. Remove when golden brown and sprinkle with fine grated cheese while still hot.
    13. Serve with tomato ketchup.
