Ingredients

  • 1 kg - tripe either Beef or Mutton sliced thinly
  • 2 - large Onions chopped
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 1 tsp - finely chopped Ginger
  • 2 tsp - finely chopped Garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 Green chillies slit lengthwise
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp - coriander powder
  • How to Make Tripe - Hot and Spicy:

    1. Wash the tripe well.
    2. Cook it in sufficient water and a little salt in a suitable pan or a pressure cooker till soft.
    3. Drain and keep the soup aside.
    4. Heat the oil in a pan, saute the onions, chopped ginger and garlic lightly.
    5. Add the cooked tripe, salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and mix well.
    6. Add the soup.
    7. Cover and simmer on low heat till the gravy thickens.
    8. Serve hot with rice or bread.
