Ingredients

  • 2 cups - Turkish white Rice or parboiled Rice
  • 1/2 cup - brown lentils
  • 3 tbsp - risi( a type of pasta, looks slightly bigger than rice)
  • 1 tbsp - Butter
  • Salt - as required
  • How to Make Turkish Lentil Rice:

    1. Cook the lentils, until they are just cooked.
    2. Don't let them change their shape or get mashed.
    3. Heat the butter in a pan, add the risi and fry until, they are light brown in colour.
    4. Add the washed rice, lentils and the pasta in a rice cooker, along with salt and water.
    5. Cook until the rice is done.
    6. Serve the rice with green chicken curry or any curry of your choice, along with salad.
