Ingredients

  • 1/2 Kg - Channa Dal
  • 1 cup - Rice
  • 10 - Green chillies
  • 5-6 Garlic Cloves
  • 1/2 inch piece Ginger
  • 1 tsp Aniseeds
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves
  • Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Vada Hariyali:

    1. Soak dal and rice for 2 hours. Grind to a rough paste.
    2. Grind green chillies, coriander, garlic, ginger, ajwain and aniseeds to a smooth paste.
    3. Mix the ground pastes (you should not let it get watery).
    4. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry small amounts (with a spoon) till golden brown.
    5. Serve this yummy vada hot with tomato ketchup.
