Ingredients

  • 2 cups - all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups - confectionery Sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1/2 cup - unsalted Butter
  • 1/2 tsp - baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp - baking powder
  • 1 tsp - vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup - yogurt or buttermilk
  • How to Make Vanilla Short Cake:

    1. Sift flour, baking powder and baking soda together.
    2. Beat butter and sugar till light.
    3. Add eggs one at a time and beat. Then add yogurt and mix well.
    4. Finally add the vanilla essence.
    5. Mix well and pour into a greased cake tin.
    6. Bake for 30-45 minutes at 350 F.
    7. Cool and slice into pieces.
