  • 2 cups - all-purpose flour
  • 250 g - dark chocolate bar
  • 1/2 cup - rolled oats
  • 1 cup - Sugar
  • 4 tbsp - vegetable shortening
  • 2 tbsp - Apple sauce
  • 1/2 tsp - baking soda
  • 1 tsp - baking powder
  • How to Make Vegan Choco-Oats Cookies:

    1. Break the chocolate bar into small pieces and keep aside a few.
    2. Melt the remaining chocolate pieces with vegetable shortening in a microwave bowl
    3. Whisk them well and add the sugar and apple sauce to the melted chocolate mixture till sugar dissolves
    4. Add all-purpose flour, rolled oats, baking powder, chocolate pieces and baking soda and knead into a dough
    5. Preheat the oven at 350 degree F
    6. Line a baking tray, make small balls out of the dough and drop a scoop of the dough over the baking paper, leave some space between the cookies
    7. Bake them for 25 mins
    8. Cool to set in room temperature and serve
