  • 1.5 cups - all purpose flour
  • 1 cup - powdered Sugar
  • 1 tsp - baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • 3 tbsp - cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup - vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp - Vinegar
  • 1 tsp - vanilla essence
  • 1 cup - cold water

How to Make Vegan chocolate fudge cake

  • Sift the dry ingredients in a large bowl and mix well to combine.
  • In another bowl, mix the wet ingredients and stir well.
  • Add the wet ingredients to dry, little by little, until lump free.
  • Grease and flour a 7-inch diameter tin.
  • Pour the mixture into the tin and drop the tin lightly on the counter to get rid of any bubbles in the mixture.
  • Bake this in a preheated 360 degrees F oven for about 30 minutes or until the cake is springy to touch and a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
  • You will also find the cake leaving the sides of the tin.
  • Cool the cake by leaving it aside for 1 minute or so. Then invert the tin over a rack and tap it gently to unmould the cake.
  • Cut it into slabs and sprinkle some powdered sugar on it.
