  • 1 packet - macaroni
  • 1 cup - finely sliced onion
  • 2 - tomato
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 2 - dry red chillies
  • a pinch of asafoetida
  • 1 tsp - chopped coriander leaves
  • salt to taste
  • oil to fry

How to Make Vegetable Macaroni

  • Boil the macaroni and keep it aside.
  • Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a kadai. Add the mustard seeds and allow to splutter. Add the raw chillies and the onions. Saute the onions.
  • Put the tomatoes in boiling water for 10 mins. Peel off the skin and cut them into fine pieces and add them to the sauteed onions.
  • Add the chilli powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida, salt and the boiled macaroni. Cook for 5-10 mins.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
