Ingredients

  • Rice - 3 cups
  • Spinach - 1 bunch
  • Water - 6 cups
  • Butter - 1.5 tsp
  • Oil - 1.5 tsp
  • Cashews - 2 tsp
  • Onions - 1
  • Caraway seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Bay Leaves - 2
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 2 tsp
  • Mint leaves - 1/2 bunch
  • Green chillies - 3 to 4
  • Cloves- 4
  • Cinnamon - 3
  • How to Make Vegetarian Palak rice:

    1. Make a puree of spinach and mint leaves. Keep aside.
    2. Now heat a pan with oil and add caraway seeds, cinnamon, cloves, bay leaves and cashews.
    3. Add onions and ginger paste to it.
    4. Cook it until it becomes tender.
    5. Add the puree and cook for some time.
    6. Add rice, water and salt to it.
    7. Now cook it until rice is done.
    8. Serve.
