  • 2 - Coconuts, fresh, extract thick and thin juice
  • 1 kg - Dal, moong
  • 600 gms - Jaggery
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup - Flour, Rice Raw Rice flour
  • 1 pinch - Cardamom Powder
  • How to Make Vorn:

    1. Scrape the coconuts and grind them, and extract the thick and thin juice.
    2. Now boil the dal it until it softens and then add the jaggery, the thin coconut juice and salt to it.
    3. Meanwhile, mix the rice flour with sufficient water into a batter.
    4. Add this to the batter, stir well so that lumps are not formed.
    5. Boil this until the flour is cooked and has the required consistency.
    6. Now add the thick juice and cardamom powder and boil for 10 minutes.
    7. Let it cool.
