Ingredients

  • 100 g - Walnuts
  • 200 g - Sugar or substitute
  • 250 g - low fat Paneer
  • 50 g - raisins, soaked in water
  • 5 tbsp - Corn flour
  • 1 litre - skimmed Milk
  • 1 small bar - plain Milk chocolate, melted
  • oil for deep frying
  • few drops vanilla essence
  • Almond flakes

How to Make Walnut Balls in Milk Sauce

  • Add 50 g of the sugar to the paneer and mash it with a hand blender.
  • Make a thin batter with 4 tbsp corn flour and enough water.
  • Grate or crush the walnuts into small pieces.
  • Add it to the paneer and mix well.
  • Add a few drops of vanilla essence and the raisins to the paneer mixture and mix well.
  • Divide into 15 - 20 balls.
  • Dip in corn flour batter and deep fry till light golden brown.
  • Mix 1 tbsp corn flour with 4 tbsp milk to make a paste.
  • Bring the remaining milk to a boil, and keep stirring till reduced in half.
  • Add vanilla essence, stir well.
  • Gradually add the corn flour paste and keep stirring continuously till the mixture is smooth.
  • Remove from fire, cool it lightly.
  • Transfer it to the serving bowl and add the walnut balls.
  • Sprinkle almond flakes and drizzle some melted chocolate over it.
  • Serve warm.
