  • 250gms- broken wheat
  • 3tsp- urad dal
  • 4 elaichi
  • 200gms- jaggery
  • salt to taste
  • oil for frying

How to Make Wheat appam

  • Soak broken wheat with urad dal in water for an hour.
  • Grind to paste consistency. Allow to ferment for 5 hrs.
  • Add powdered elaichi, powdered jaggery and mix well.
  • Heat oil in a kadai take the batter in spoon and drop it oil cook till it becomes crisp.
