How to Make Wheat Ashoka Halwa

  • Melt the butter in simmering flame, fry the cashew nuts and keep away.
  • Add the wheat flour to the melted butter, stir well for 5 minutes, then add the maida.
  • Stir for 10 minutes.
  • Add the colour powder and salt.
  • Heat 3 cups of water in a pan.
  • Add the hot water to the flour mixture and stir continuously.
  • The flour will double in volume, turn thick like dough and get off the bottom of the kadhai.
  • Add sugar and cardamom powder, then the cashews and put off the flame.
  • Pour the halwa onto a plate. Serve hot or at room temperature.
