Ganesha, known as the remover of obstacles, is one of the most favourite Gods worshipped across India.
His birthday is celebrated with pomp and grandeur. It is a 10-day festival during which his clay idol is brought home and worshiped. And towards the end the statue is immersed in the sea or a river.
The birth of Ganesha is celebrated under different names all over India like Vinayaka Chaturthi in Tamil Nadu and Ganesh Chaturthi in Maharashtra.
