Lettuce is available in a vast number of varieties, and are either crisp or floppy. Most of them have green leaves, some with red tinges, and they all have a delicate, clean flavour.

Commonly used in:
Lettuce is mainly eaten raw in salads but can also be used in soups, sandwiches, wraps or can be braised as a side dish.

Health benefit:
Lettuce is a good source of vitamin A, vitamin K and potassium, with higher concentrations of vitamin A found in darker green lettuces. It also provides some dietary fiber.
