Wood apple to native to India. It has a hard woody shell and fibrous yellow pulp. It is consumed fresh or dried. The pulp is very aromatic, akin to roses.

Juices and sweets

The fruit is used in many ayurvedic compositions to treat diarrhoea, dysentery, diabetes among others
