Ingredients

  • 4 tsp - besan flour
  • 1 - big potato
  • 1 - big onion, chopped
  • 1 - medium tomato, chopped
  • 3 - green chillies, chopped
  • a small piece - ginger, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp - oil
  • salt
  • coriander leaves

How to Make Aloo Besan

  • Take besan flour in a small bowl, add a cup of water, mix well and keep it aside.
  • Boil the potato and cut it into small pieces.
  • Heat oil, add cumin seeds.
  • When it is slightly roasted, add chopped onions and fry for 2 mins.
  • Add finely chopped green chillies, ginger and turmeric powder, and fry for a minute.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and potatoes.
  • Add two cups of water, and boil for 5 mins.
  • Add the besan batter slowly and add salt to taste.
  • Allow this to cook for 10 mins.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with puris and chapattis.
