Ingredients

  • 2 - large potatoes
  • 1.5 cup - spinach, chopped finely
  • 2 - green chillies
  • 1/8 tsp - pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp - mustard
  • 1/4 tsp - cumin
  • 1 spring - curry leaves
  • 1/4 tsp - ginger -garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp - white sesame seeds
  • A pinch - turmeric and asafoetida
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Aloo palak dry

  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, cumin, curry leaves and green chillies, let them crackle
  • Add ginger garlic paste, saute for a minute
  • Add cubed potatoes, asafoetida, salt and turmeric, fry for a min
  • Cover and cook till the potatoes are cooked fully, if required, sprinkle some water.
  • Add chopped spinach and fry on high till all the moisture evaporates.
  • Add sesame seeds fry for a minute
  • Sprinkle pepper powder and toss
