Ingredients

  • Meat - 1 kg
  • 4 - potatoes, cubed
  • To slice:
  • 4 - medium chillies
  • 1-inch piece - ginger
  • 5 flake - garlic
  • 3 - medium onions
  • To grind:
  • 10 - chillies
  • 1 piece - turmeric
  • 2 tbsp - coriander
  • 1 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp - mustard seed
  • 10 - pepper corns
  • Other ingredients:
  • 5 - cloves
  • 1 piece - cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp - vinegar
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Bafat Meat Masala

  • Cut and wash meat.
  • Grind the ingredients listed into a paste.
  • Prepare the sliced masala.
  • Mix meat, ground masala, cloves, cinnamon, salt and vinegar with 3 cups of water.
  • Cook for one hour till the meat is tender.
  • Add potatoes, with ghee, and the sliced masala and continue cooking till the potatoes are cooked.
