Ingredients

  • 1 - medium cabbage, shredded
  • 3 - medium potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 3 - medium potatoes, blanched and sliced
  • 1/2 inch piece - ginger
  • 1 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp - sugar
  • 2 - bay leaves
  • 1 tsp - garam masala
  • 3 - green chillies
  • salt and chilli powder to taste

How to Make Banda Gobi Tadkari

  • Grind together chillies and ginger.
  • Heat 3 tbsps oil and put in bay leaves, potatoes and cabbage and fry to a light brown colour.
  • Add the rest of the above ingredients with the exception of garam masala.
  • Cover tightly and cook till the vegetables are done.
  • Sprinkle garam masala on top before serving.
