  • Sabudhana - 1 cup
  • Red Chillies - 5
  • Jeera - 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves
  • Peanuts - 1 cup
  • Salt
  • Vegetable Oil - 3 tbsp

How to Make Basic Sabudhana Khichdi

  • Soak sabudhana for 30 mins.
  • Heat 3 tbsp oil then add jeera, cumin seeds, red chillies and coriander leaves.
  • Drain the sabudhana using a strainer. After that put the sabudhana in the pan. Mix well and cover with lid. Cook on low heat for 15 to 20 mins, stirring every 3 mins or so.
  • Powder the peanuts.
  • Once the sabudhana is ready, sprinkle the powdered peanut over it and mix well. Serve warm.
