Ingredients

  • 1 kg - mutton
  • 500 gms - curds
  • 12 - onions
  • 3 tbsp - cooking oil
  • 1 kg - rice
  • 4 tbsp - ghee
  • To grind:
  • 6 - chillies
  • 1 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 3 stick - cinnamon
  • 2.5 tbsp - coriander
  • 10 - chillies
  • 3 pods - garlic
  • 1-inch piece - ginger
  • 12 - pepper corns
  • 12 - cloves

How to Make Biryani Mutton

  • Chop the meat into medium-size pieces and mix with curds and ground masala and marinate for half an hour.
  • Slice 12 onions and saute till light brown.
  • Half boil the rice and strain.
  • In a big vessel, place the fried onions and sprinkle fresh ghee.
  • Now add mutton and then the rice.
  • Make similar layers till everything is used.
  • Seal the top of the vessel with foil and cook on slow fire till done.
