Ingredients

  • 4 -bread slices
  • 1 tbsp- sour yoghurt (curd)
  • 1 teaspoon -grated ginger
  • 1- green chilli cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 tea spoon- mustard seed
  • 1/4 tea spoon- turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp- ghee or butter
  • coriander leaves to garnish
  • salt

How to Make Bread Dhokla

  • Mix salt, chilli, ginger and yoghurt.
  • Spread the above paste evenly on 2 bread slices.
  • Cover these breads with 2 remaining slices.
  • Cut each pair in 4 square pieces.
  • Heat a flat pan or a frying pan. Put one tsp ghee or butter on the heated pan.
  • Sprinkle some mustard seeds. Wait till it starts cracking.
  • Sprinkle some turmeric powder.
  • Put the bread pieces till brown on one side. Apply some ghee or butter and sprinkle some turmeric powder on the top of the slices.
  • Flip the slices and take is out when the second side is brown.
  • Garnish it with finely chopped coriander leaves.
