Bread roll is an easy Indian party recipe for kids. It is made of mashed potatoes coated with bread crumbs and is then deep fried. Tastes best with ketchup.

  • 4 - Potato, medium sized, boiled and mashed.
  • 5-6 - Bread slices, to prepare bread crumbs
  • 2-3 - Green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp - Cumin seeds/ jeera
  • 1 tsp - Coriander powder.
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric Powder
  • 2 tsp - Salt to Deep Fried

How to Make Bread Potato Roll- Aloo Bread Roll

  • In a pan add 2 tsp oil. When hot, add jeera and as they sputter add green chillies.
  • Saute and then add mashed potatoes to it. Mix well.
  • Add turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt to taste.
  • Now saute well on a medium flame till all spices get well incorporated.
  • Dry grind the bread slices to prepare bread crumbs.
  • Mix the bread crumbs with the potato mixture.
  • Add a little salt if needed. Knead well till you get a dough similar to roti or chapathi dough.
  • Pinch out a ball from the dough and roll between your greased palms to get a good cigar shaped cylinder.
  • Deep Fried in hot oil till golden brown and transfer them to kitchen towel.
  • Serve hot with ketchup or any homemade chutney and enjoy.
