  • 1 - Large black brinjal
  • 1 - Small onion, minced
  • 1/2 inch piece ginger, minced
  • 3 - Green chillies
  • Handful of coriander leaves
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - Coriander powder
  • Salt and chilli powder to taste
  • 2 tbsps - Ground coconut
  • 50 gms - Tomatoes, peeled and pureed

How to Make Brinjal Masaledar

  • Grill the brinjal over an open flame till the skin turns black and the brinjal turns soft.
  • Peel and mash to a smooth paste.
  • Put the rest of the ingredients in a pan and cook till the mixture turns thick.
  • Put in the brinjal mix well and serve hot.
