Brussel Sprouts known as 'Kalai Gosu ' in Tamil is a nutritional vegetable that resembles a cabbage. It is an excellent source of numerous nutrients including folate, dietary fiber and omega-3 fatty acids. The chopped onions, tomatoes are sauteed well with masala mix till the raw taste disappears. The brussel sprouts, coconut milk and salt are then added and cooked till we get a thick, flavourful gravy.

  • ½ kg. brussel sprouts
  • 4 onions
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 coconut
  • 4 tbsp. oil
  • Grind together:
  • 1 tsp. fennel seeds (saunf)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1” piece ginger
  • ½ tsp. cumin seeds
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 piece cinnamon
  • ½ bunch coriander leaves
  • 1 clove
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Brussel Sprouts Korma

  • Wash and make small slits in brussel sprouts.
  • Chop onions and tomatoes. Grate coconut and extract coconut milk.
  • Heat oil, add onions and sauté.
  • Add masala and cook till raw taste goes, add brussel sprouts, coconut milk and salt.
  • Cook till done and a thick gravy remains.
