Ingredients

  • Urad dal - 2 cups
  • Cabbage - 1/2 cup finely chopped
  • Onion - medium sized finely chopped
  • Green chillies - 2 finely chopped)
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

How to Make Cabbage Vada

  • Soak urad dal for 2-3 hours.
  • Chop cabbage, onion and green chillies finely.
  • Make a fine paste of urad dal with a little water.
  • Now add the chopped cabbage, onion and green chillies along with salt to the urad paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan, wet your hand, take small quantities of the dough, make a hole in between (just like plain vada) and gently slide it into the oil.
  • Use a wet plastic cover to slide the vada into the oil
