  • 400 gms. boneless chicken
  • 2 tsp. coriander powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin powder
  • 2 tsp. red chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp. chopped coriander leaves
  • 100 gms. green capsicum (sliced)
  • 100 gms. red onion (sliced)
  • 100 gms. tomatoes (sliced)
  • 2 tsp. chaat masala
  • 1 piece lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 small piece chopped green chilli
  • Oil as required
  • For assembling:
  • 2 roomali roti or tortillas
  • 160 gms. filling
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 4 tbsp. shahi makhani dip (readily available in supermarkets)
  • 2 tbsp. green chutney (if desired)

How to Make Chicken Kathi Roll

  • Marinate the chicken cubes with powdered spices for 2 hours.
  • In a pan, heat some oil and throw in some chopped green chillies.
  • Add the marinated chicken and cook till almost done.
  • Stir in the vegetables and cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Sprinkle chaat masala and lemon juice.
  • Take it off the flame and top it with chopped coriander.
  • For assembly:
  • Take a tortilla or roomali roti and spread the makhani dip on it.
  • Put the filling, you can add green chutney if desired.
  • Fold the roomali roti / tortilla from both sides and then roll it.
  • In a pan, heat some butter or oil, place the roll in a pan to seal the ends of tortilla / roomali roti and to get good colour on it.
