  • 1 kg - chicken pieces
  • 2 tsp -soy sauce
  • 2 tsp-vinegar
  • 1 clove-garlic, minced
  • 8-10 - green chillies, split down the middle (but still joined)
  • 1/3 cup- oil

How to Make Chilli Chicken with Soy Sauce & Vinegar

  • First cut the chicken pieces into smaller pieces (drumsticks in half, thighs in half, and leave wings as they are).
  • Then marinate the chicken pieces with the soy sauce and vinegar.
  • Make sure all the chicken pieces are covered.
  • Add the chillies. Cover and put in fridge for 10 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan. Slowly add chicken pieces (shake off marinade first).
  • Cover the pan and cook. Occasionally, turn the pieces so they brown well.
  • After all the pieces are done, take them out.
  • Put in the garlic and fry until golden brown.
  • Add the chicken pieces. Then add the soy sauce and vinegar marinade mixture.
  • Stir and cover; let it cook for about 20 minutes or until the sauce begins to thicken.
  • Then take off heat and serve over white rice.
