  • 2 cups - flour
  • 2 cups - almonds or pecans, finely chopped
  • 6 ounces - semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup - butter
  • 1 cup - powdered sugar

How to Make Chocolate Glazed Shortbread Cookies

  • Cream butter and sugar. Gradually add flour.
  • Stir in half of the nuts.
  • Chill dough for 1 hour.
  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  • Form dough into a 2-inch long fingers.
  • Cut in half lengthwise and place cut-side down on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until a pale golden brown.
  • Cool on a wire rack.
  • Melt chocolate.
  • Dip one end of cookie into chocolate, then into nuts.
  • Cool on wax paper until set.
