Ingredients

  • White bread slices as required
  • Coconut - 1
  • Tamarind - 1 lemon sized ball
  • Salt to taste
  • Onion - 1 (medium sized, cut into small cubes)
  • Ginger - 1 inch piece
  • Green chilli - 4
  • Coriander leaves - a few sprigs
  • Butter as required

How to Make Coconut Chutney Sandwiches

  • Scrape the coconut and grind into a paste.
  • Add all the other ingredients to the paste. Grind with a little water.
  • Apply the chutney paste with butter on the slices and prepare the sandwiches.
  • Toast the sandwiches on a hot tava and serve.
