Ingredients

  • 500 g - maida
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 - fresh coconut

How to Make Coconut Crispies

  • Grate fresh coconut; sieve maida and keep aside
  • Mix coconut, chilli powder, salt and maida together, then add grated coconut, mix well and keep aside for an hour.
  • Knead to make dough, adding very little water, if necessary.
  • It should be as stiff as poori dough.
  • Heat oil in a kadai, lower the flame. Make small balls of the dough and pat them flat as puris.
  • Deep fry till golden brown in colour. Store in an air tight container.
