  • 225 g - refined flour
  • 15 g - fat
  • 1/2 tsp - sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • 1.25 tsp - dry yeast
  • Little - lukewarm water

How to Make Continental Bread Sticks

  • Mix yeast in a little lukewarm water and keep aside.
  • Use the remaining lukewarm water to dissolve sugar and salt.
  • Sieve the flour and mix with the sugar-salt solution. Add yeast ferment and mix into a soft dough.
  • Knead in fat and the divide the dough into 15 equal portions.
  • Make round balls and shape them into desired shapes.
  • Place on greased baking sheets and leave in a warm place with a wet cloth wrapped over it.
  • After 45 minutes, brush water on the rolls and bake at 230 degree C for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Remove and brush with melted fat/butter
