  • 1/2 kg - hard dried dates
  • 15 - lemons (juice extracted and strained)
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 1/2 tsp - black salt
  • 3 tsp - sugar
  • 1 tsp - pepper powder

How to Make Date Churan

  • Put dates in a wide-mouthed jar
  • Pour lemon juice on them.
  • Cover and keep aside.
  • Shake the jar 3-4 times a day, for 2 days.
  • Remove the seeds and slice dates into thin slivers
  • Spread out in a large plate or on a plastic sheet
  • Dry them in the sun till excess moisture is absorbed.
  • Blend all other ingredients in a small mixer
  • Sprinkle all over date slivers, blend in well with hands
  • Store in airtight jar
