  • 3/4 pound whole dates, pits removed
  • 3/4 cup - butter
  • 2/3 cup - all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp - cinnamon
  • 1.5 tbsp - confectioners' sugar

How to Make Dates in butter sauce

  • Place the dates in 4 individual serving dishes; set aside.
  • In a small sauce pan, heat the butter over medium heat until it begins to bubble.
  • Reduce the heat and add the cinnamon and the flour to the butter.
  • Mix and stir constantly for 2-3 minutes until the mixture is a soft paste.
  • Pour the sauce evenly over the dates.
  • Allow to cool. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
