  • drumsticks - 3 to 4
  • water or vegetable stock - 3 cup
  • butter - 2 tbsp
  • onion - 1/2 cup, chopped
  • curry leaves - 1/3 cup, shredded
  • corn flour - 2 tbsp
  • milk - 1 cup
  • pepper to taste
  • salt to taste

How to Make Drumsticks and Curry Leaf Soup

  • Cut the drumsticks into 5 cm long pieces and cook in water or stock till soft.
  • Strain and reserve the liquid.
  • Cool the drumsticks and scoop out the flesh and tender seeds with a spoon.
  • Heat the butter and lightly fry the onions and curry leaves.
  • Add the reserved liquid and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add the drumstick pulp, salt and pepper.
  • Mix the corn flour with milk and add to the simmering soup.
  • Let it boil and simmer for 2 more minutes. Serve hot.
