  • Ingredients for the pancakes:
  • 2 cups - all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp - baking powder
  • 1/2 cup - milk
  • 1/2 tsp - ground nutmeg
  • 1 - egg
  • 1/2 tsp - dry yeast
  • 6 - 7 - cherries
  • water
  • cooking oil
  • Ingredients for the filling:
  • 1 cup - roasted dry fruits (cashewnuts, pistachios, almonds, pine seeds and raisins)
  • 1/2 cup - icing sugar
  • 1 tbsp - honey
  • 1/2 tsp - cardamom powder

How to Make Dry fruit pancakes

  • To prepare the pancakes, mix the flour with the baking powder in a mixing bowl.
  • Next, dissolve the yeast in a cup of warm water and add to the flour, along with the milk and egg.
  • Mix uniformly by adding a little water at a time to form a lump - free batter.
  • Leave aside for half an hour or so to rise.
  • Now that the batter is ready, grease a frying pan with a few drops of oil and heat it on medium heat.
  • Pour half a ladle of the batter into the pan and, with the back of the ladle, spread out evenly to form a thick pancake.
  • Once the top of the pancake starts to bubble, turn to brown the other side too.
  • While making the pancakes, in another bowl mix all the ingredients mentioned for the filling to form a mushy lump.
  • Add a spoonful of the filling on top of each pancake and roll into a cylindrical shape.
  • Arrange on a serving tray and garnish by sprinkling them with icing sugar and placing a halved cherry on top of each one.
