Ingredients

  • 1 cup - (100 g) rice flour
  • 1 cup - sugar
  • 125 ml - thick coconut milk
  • 1/4 tsp - cardamom powder
  • 2 tsp - chopped cashew nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp - ghee to grease thali

How to Make Dudholi - Dudhali

  • In a bowl, mix all the ingredients gently (rice flour well combined with coconut milk and sugar and it should be like soft and smooth porridge).
  • Transfer the rice flour mixture into a greased thali and steam in a steamer or pressure cooker (without weight) for 15 - 18 minutes on a medium to low heat.
  • Cook till done or a needle inserted in the centre comes out clean.
  • Keep aside to cool for 15 - 20 minutes and later cut into desired shape and size.
