Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp - coriander seeds
  • 8 - red chillies
  • 1 tbsp - poppy seeds
  • 1 tbsp - sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp - ground nuts
  • 1 tbsp - urad dal
  • 1 tbsp - channa dal
  • 1 tbsp - toor dal
  • 1 tbsp - moong dal
  • 5 - cashews
  • 1/2 tsp - asafetida powder
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Dus ka dum powder

  • Heat a kadai, dry roast coriander seeds and red chillies till a nice aroma comes. Keep aside.
  • Now roast toor dal and channa dal for 3 minutes and keep aside.
  • Roast moong dal and urad dal and keep aside.
  • Roast poppy seeds and sesame seeds together and keep aside.
  • Roast ground nuts and cashew nuts together and keep aside.
  • Let all the ingredients cool.
  • After 5 minutes, grind all ingredients along with asafoetida powder and salt.
  • Store this powder in an air-tight container.
  • Serve with hot rice along with ghee or til oil.
